Natalie Hunter is a graduate student at Carleton University. Her research focuses on transhistorical communities, specifically how Natalie Clifford Barney, Renée Vivien, and their creative cohort re-created Sappho's Lesbos within early 20th century Paris. Other research interests (broadly speaking) include gender and sexuality in the context of intellectual history, the history of genocide, theatre and theatricality in antiquity, and the history of philosophy. She is a coffee enthusiast and is probably reading too many books to count at any given moment.
